Divine Mercy Sunday Shrine

This one was a shoe-in. Trust me.

Here’s another shot, just so you get the idea of  scale.

Here’s a sideshot by GinaD.

An outpouring of Spirit from San Salvador City.  Appropriate all around… but in the spirit of Pope Francis, I can’t help but be generous today.  Here’s my Bonus Shrine for a two Pope canonization!  For St. John Paul II, who, through grace, gave us this day. He revealed it’s truth to the world– I offer you this.

This site is mentioned in the famous Diary that started it all, and where the first shrine was placed. Note: this site was renovated in 2009.

Another beautiful shot by Alma Pater from Wikimedia Commons. Creative commons license.

So, there we have it! A twofer for a twofer!

FYI– I have an article about John XXIII (as well as John Paul II) in the works, and that should be up soon.

Blessed Divine Mercy Sunday to you!
